Ben Harris Something about HTRK's music seems to scratch that (admittedly strange) imaginary urge I feel to withdraw from life and exist as some sort of slow-motion revenant, the kind of horrible-to-gaze upon though ultimately harmless spectre destined to drift through a declining world, unbearably sad but comfortably numb. Favorite track: Mentions.

Nikos Excellent track!!!!! cant wait for the full release!

Tristan An excellent track, can't wait to hear the second one when it's released. When I first heard this band, it really helped revolutionise my taste in music. Going from industrial and heavy rock/metal music, to much more chilled and alternative sounds.

Corey Raucheisen I really dig the new sound. I love HTRK because their music is so confrontational, speaking unabashedly of the shadowy world of unfettered eroticism. These two songs show the fragility behind the bravado, gone are the monolith drums and mechicanical riffs, replaced by an echo-laden dreamscape made of swirling guitar and staccato beats. It's intoxicating, music to get lost in, a revelation! I cannot wait for the full album. Favorite track: Mentions.

MENTIONS

The intimacy of makeup counters
There’s not enough products and powders
You can put on me
The touch of your hand to my face
And the way that you’re talkin' softly
It’s not enough attention for me

How you gonna fill unfillable
How you gonna feel unfeelable
You're passing up on the real stuff
it's not physical enough
You're passing up on the real stuff
It's not physical
You're passing up on the real stuff
It's not nearly

Even with your soft obsession
It’s not enough attention for me
Even with another mention
You should’ve made a difference by now

Even with your soft obsession
It’s not enough attention for me
Even with another mention
It’s not nearly physical enough

But if we wrap ourselves in waves of light
And we affix the stars to the sky
They’ll hold their light
For just a little longer
Before the Sun rises and falls
Do you feel everything and then nothing

How you gonna fill unfillable
How you gonna feel unfeelable
You're passing up on the real stuff
And you're waking up on stars
You're passing up on the real stuff
It’s not nearly physical enough
You're passing up on the real stuff
It's not nearly

Even with your soft obsession
It’s not enough attention for me
Even with another mention
You should’ve made a difference by now

Even with your soft obsession
It’s not enough attention on me
Even with another mention
It’s not nearly physical enough

The way you're talking softly
And your attention on me
It’s not physical enough

The way you're talking softly
And your attention on me
It’s not physical enough
You're passing up on the real stuff
It's not nearly
You're passing up on the real stuff
It's not nearly

MORE TO ENJOY

And the wolves at the back door
Just leave me more alone
And before you leave
Just know that there's more to enjoy

And the more you think that it's over
Just leaves me open to you
And the more you think that it's over
Just leaves me open to you

And the wolves at the back door
Just leave me more alone
And before you leave
Just know that there's more to enjoy

And the more you think that it's over
Just know there's more
Oh some more

There's more to you and I
And the wolves can wait one more night
There's more to enjoy
And the wolves can wait

There's more to you and I And the wolves can wait one more night There's more to enjoy
There's more to enjoy
______________

HTRK's new single was recorded by band members Jonnine Standish and Nigel Yang at Standish's home in the Dandenong Ranges near Melbourne. It sees the duo reflecting on a period of instability. Standish explores a lack of physical intimacy in the social media age (on 'Mentions') and tries to coax back someone who's given up (on 'More to Enjoy'), while Yang's guitar lines curl slowly through the air.

The single precedes a new HTRK full-length album currently in production.
