The relationship between HTRK and Mika Vainio can be traced back to Berlin in 2008. HTRK co-founder Sean Stewart became friends with the revered Finnish artist, who was a big influence on all three members of the band.

The remix strips the original to a dubbed-out growl of drum machines and Jonnine's distinctive vocals. It's stormy, minimalist, elegant and brutal—everything you'd expect from a meeting between HTRK and Mika Vainio. HTRK will release the Mika Vainio remix of "Poison" along with an alternate version of "Love Triangle" on the b-side.
